About Me

Hi I’m Simon Withers, my current role is Global Vice President for Cloud Services at SunGard,

With this current focus my remit includes leading the development of the private and public Cloud infrastructure offerings that form SunGard’s Enterprise Cloud Services, following on from my work in introducing SunGard’s first Private Cloud offering to the market in early 2009.

I’ve also been told I’m a recognised thought leader on future and emerging technologies! I regularly contribute to analyst engagements as well as conference, panel, seminar, webinar, traditional and social media fora.

My most recent activities have addressed issues associated with Cloud Computing, Hybrid IT, and ‘Always-on’ computing for such entities as The 451 Group, CIO Connect, Cloud Circle, Intellect, The Guardian Media Group, Forbes, NetworkWorld, Cloud Connect and many more.

(Although the views expressed in this blog are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of SunGard).

So I’ve decided to write this blog whilst I continue to develop SunGard’s current cloud offerings globally.
